Contact your Congressperson today!

Ask your Representative to vote YES on Rep. Weiner’s single-payer amendment, and ask
your Senators to vote YES on S 703 when they [sic] come to a vote in September.

If you know your Rep, call 866-338-1015 for the Capital Switchboard, if not find
their information here (http://e2ma.net/go/6505959042/208005020/208194536/28803/goto:http://www.votesmart.org).

For the first time ever, single-payer legislation will be debated and voted on by
Congress in September.

The day after thousands of grassroots activists rallied in Washinton, DC (http://e2ma.net/go/6505959042/208005020/208194540/28803/goto:http://www.healthcare-now.org/report-on-medicares-44th-birthday-july-30-2009/) for national healthcare on Medicare’s 44th birthday, Rep. Anthony Weiner (NY-9)
introduced an amendment to President Obama’s healthcare reform bill (HR 3200) to
replace it with HR 676 (http://e2ma.net/go/6505959042/208005020/208194541/28803/goto:http://www.healthcare-now.org/hr-676), the single-payer bill, and Speaker Pelosi pledged [for whatever THAT’S worth] (http://e2ma.net/go/6505959042/208005020/208194542/28803/goto:http://www.healthcare-now.org/single-payer-gets-a-vote-in-house/) to bring it to a debate and vote on the full House floor in September.

Let’s make August the Month of Single-Payer (http://e2ma.net/go/6505959042/208005020/208194538/28803/goto:http://www.healthcare-now.org/campaigns/pass-single-payer/) and demand that our Representatives vote YES on Rep. Weiner’s amendment, and
demand that our Senators vote YES on S 703, in September!

Join our campaign (http://e2ma.net/go/6505959042/208005020/208194538/28803/goto:http://www.healthcare-now.org/campaigns/pass-single-payer/) to pass single-payer, HR 676 and S 703.

Tell your Representatives that the Obama health plan is NOT enough (http://e2ma.net/go/6505959042/208005020/208194545/28803/goto:http://www.healthcare-now.org/comparing-single-payer-with-the-public-option/) and we want them to vote YES on single-payer.  We need real health reform that
will cover every American, provide real choice of doctors, and save the majority of
Americans money.

If you know your Rep, call 866-338-1015 for the Capital Switchboard, if not find
their information here (http://e2ma.net/go/6505959042/208005020/208194536/28803/goto:http://www.votesmart.org).  You can easily email them here (http://e2ma.net/go/6505959042/208005020/208194537/28803/goto:http://www.change.org/healthcarenow/actions/view/please_support_rep_weiners_single-payer_amendment).

Here’s a full list (http://e2ma.net/go/6505959042/208005020/208194538/28803/goto:http://www.healthcare-now.org/campaigns/pass-single-payer/) of other ways you can help win single-payer healthcare this September.
